MADRMZ MADRMZ is a Kenyan music producer, composer, sonic architect and creative director shaping bold, cinematic sounds rooted in African identity. Working across Afro-fusion, Afro-swing, hip-hop, trap, drill and contemporary African music, MADRMZ approaches production as more than the creation of beats. His work is about building a sonic world around an artist, a story or an idea. His sound is defined by hard-hitting drums, emotional melodies, atmospheric textures, focused low-end and organic African influences. The music can be dark, energetic, melodic or cinematic, but the objective remains consistent: create records that have character, emotion and a sense of identity while remaining accessible to a global audience. His philosophy is simple: storytelling before trends, emotion before complexity, and identity before imitation. THE PRODUCER MADRMZ works from the foundation of an idea, developing music through composition, sound selection, arrangement, rhythm, instrumentation and sonic direction. Rather than treating production as simply supplying an instrumental, he works with artists to understand what a song is trying to communicate and then builds the production around that purpose. This can involve creating a record from scratch, developing an existing idea, reshaping an arrangement, directing vocal performances, refining the sonic palette or taking a rough demo through to a finished production. His approach allows him to work across different creative environments while maintaining a recognizable production philosophy: big sound without unnecessary clutter, powerful rhythm without losing musicality, and modern production without losing cultural character. WORK & COLLABORATION MADRMZ has developed his experience through independent collaborations and structured music-development environments, including PerFORM, where he has worked alongside other emerging creatives and industry professionals. Through the PerFORM ecosystem, MADRMZ contributed to Dala's album, collaborating within the production process alongside producer and mentor Vic Wes. His involvement includes work on records such as “My Baby,” “Kibuye” and “Enjoy.” This experience has strengthened his understanding of collaborative production, professional songwriting environments, record development and the importance of serving the overall vision of a project rather than simply the individual producer's ideas. Beyond individual songs, MADRMZ is interested in building complete bodies of work—projects where the production, themes, arrangements and sonic identity work together.
