BigSly Rap is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and beatmaker whose musical journey is rooted in passion, persistence, and a deep love for Hip-Hop and Afrobeats. Known for his ability to blend rap with infectious Afrobeat rhythms, BigSly Rap creates music that combines catchy melodies, lyrical expression, relatable experiences, and the vibrant energy of Nigerian culture. Before adopting the name BigSly Rap, he was part of the rap duo Sly n Mack, alongside his musical partner. In 2007/2008, the duo independently released an album titled “Jeje” as unsigned artists. Although the project did not achieve significant commercial success, largely because the duo had no record label, professional management, or established promotional structure behind the release, the experience became an important chapter in BigSly Rap's musical journey. It gave him valuable experience as an artist and strengthened his determination to continue developing his craft. Over the years, BigSly Rap has continued to evolve as a creative artist, expanding his abilities beyond performing to include songwriting and beatmaking. His approach to music is driven by a desire to create authentic sounds that connect with listeners while maintaining his individuality as an independent artist. His current sound sits within the Afrobeat Rap space, combining the rhythmic energy and melodic appeal of Afrobeats with the lyrical attitude and delivery of rap. His music draws inspiration from everyday life, relationships, personal experiences, ambition, culture, and the realities of contemporary Nigerian society. As BigSly Rap, he is now focused on building a new chapter of his career, reaching a wider audience, and establishing a recognizable identity within Nigeria's growing music scene and beyond. His single “Chokomilo Daddy” represents part of this new chapter, showcasing his ability to fuse Afrobeat grooves, rap, catchy expressions, and entertaining storytelling into a sound designed to connect with listeners.
