DAVIDE CAMPISI At the age of 16 he began studying drums by participating in various national courses. He has twenty years of experience on styles and techniques of traditional rhythmic instruments folk music of Southern Italy: the Frame Drums, with which he has joined several musicians of national and international fame. From the very first approaches with the tool carries out research on the ancestral rhythms of southern Italy, the Mediterranean and the world music in general, skilfully combining it with the experimentation of sound forms and new and contemporary expressive techniques. He has been promoting his career for some time as well as collaborations with other musicians with whom he has carried out projects as well as audiovisual works, as a percussionist or author and soundtrack performer. He brought the sound and vibrations of his drums as well as in Italy, in European countries such as France and Germany and outside Europe. Since 2005 he has been hosting frame drum courses as separate paths or integrated with other forms and techniques of artistic expressions such as theater and dance.
