Riccardo Vella

I'm Guap, an emerging artist from the Varese/Milan area (Busto Arsizio/Rescaldina). I started writing and working on my music with the aim of building a personal artistic identity over time, starting from rap and the urban sounds that best represent me. My main influences come from the French scene and the new Italian urban scene, with artists such as Nabi, Néza, Neima Ezza, Rhove and Jul. I am especially fascinated by street, French, melodic and percussive sounds, but I don't want to limit myself to reproducing what already exists: I am experimenting to find a sound that can be recognizable as mine. In my lyrics I alternate different sides: I can talk about the street, ambition, money and everyday life, but also about emotions, relationships, loneliness, mistakes and moments of reflection. I like to create a contrast between energy and introspection, trying to give the songs both atmosphere and content. Right now I'm in the construction phase of the project: I'm writing, experimenting with different beats and flows and looking for collaborations with producers and beatmakers with whom I can grow musically. My goal is not simply to publish music, but to build step by step a project with its own identity, working on Guap's voice, writing, sound and imagery. 🎧 I am looking for collaborations with producers and beatmakers, especially in the Varese/Milan area, but I am also available to work remotely.
