Luciano Tarantino

Luciano Tarantino, Italian cellist, born in '77 began studying the cello at a very young age frequenting masters such as Ormezowski, Geringas, Mork, Monighetti and Rostropovich. At twenty years old already first cello in various Italian orchestras, he plays with conductors of the caliber of Ma- Zeel, Sinopoli, Tate, Gergiev, Pretre, Noseda, Petrenko and De Burgos. A role he will soon abandon to devote himself to chamber and solo music, which led him to perform in important festivals from and cellos, in cities and theaters such as the Opera Garnier in Paris, the Royal Theater in Madrid, Ka- bukiza of Tokyo, Parco della Musica Rome, Sala Piatti Bergamo, and Moscow, Vilnius, Stockholm, Istanbul, Beijing, Seoul, Strasbourg, Lugano, Johannesburg, Beirut etc. He recorded numerous records for the Movimento Classic, DaVinci, Brilliant, Farelive, FedoraMusic, KzMusik, Stradivarius, etc. allowed him to win the nomination for the "Cello Foundation of NewYork", as the only Italian.
