Mattia Battaglio

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, 24 years old, Bra. Signature pop with rock and folk roots: piano and guitar in the center, strings and winds that alternate with synths and house-inspired loops on an almost entirely acoustic system. I write everything: lyrics, melodies and the parts of each instrument. I play a lot of them — I come from drums, from the age of 3, and from nine years of classical piano, solfège, harmony and theory, to which I added bass, acoustic guitar, improvisation and orchestration as a self-taught. Then I take everything to the studio, where my producer and two permanent session musicians make it real. It means that I arrive with the arrangements already written, not to be searched. I grew up in a family of musicians, but I only started writing in the winter of 2024, after three years in which I felt lost: out of the need to return to inhabit that room that each of us has inside and that, for a thousand reasons, we forget to open for years. These are the first songs that are really mine. A song, for me, must stand with voice and guitar in front of a bonfire and hold up even with an orchestra on it. I write about love in all its forms — requited and unrequited, as a couple, for a friend, for a stranger, for oneself: songs "in the mirror", a kind of examination of conscience. I work so that they work on two levels: catchy and humpable at first listening, capable of returning an intuition to those who really listen. I don't want to make commercial music, but something refined that remains accessible to everyone: it's the details that no one notices that make the difference. Where I am today: debut with "Vita Piena" on May 9, 2025, 5 songs published and distributed by Reload, 2 out — of which my first feat — and others already written and ready for production. Fifteen live dates in the first year, in two cases with support session musicians, several radio interviews and the victory of the Onde Frix 2026 contest. Team: producer, graphic designer for covers and content, two session musicians in the studio. In the next 12 months I want to release continuously and play as much as possible. I have clear ideas about what to propose, the determination and the right amount of madness: what I miss is the network.
