Mauro De Santis

Mauro De Santis (nickname: mafigi) is a professional with experience in the music production scene, with an activity that extends for over four decades. His main identity is that of Producer, a role in which his artistic vision blends with a technical sensibility honed through years as a composer, arranger, sound engineer and teacher. He boasts a discreet personal discography that ranges between the genres Electronica, Deep House and instrumental Urban, where his imprint as a producer is evident in the care of sound design and groove. Also active as a collaborator, he has contributed to studio musical projects on piano and synthesizers. Initially residing between Naples and Rome, and now based in Milan, Mauro De Santis' experience embraces various aspects of the music supply chain. His vision as a producer has found wide application in the audiovisual sector. Among his credits stands out the composition and production of the song "ONLY FOR TONIGHT", included in the soundtrack of the famous film "VACANZE DI NATALE 90" (Rome, 1989), and later also used in some episodes of the popular TV series "A DOCTOR IN THE FAMILY". Between 2000 and 2002, he collaborated with Odeon Records for the composition and production of repertoire music used in RAI 2 programs. As early as 1996, his versatility was applied to the production of "Stock Music" for commercials, corporate videos and video games. As Sound Engineer and Executive Producer, he has participated in significant productions, including live recording, mixing and mastering services for the CD TeanoJazzFactory (CasertamusicaRecords, 2006). In the same period, he worked as a composer and arranger in projects to support emerging music, such as the compilations Young Artists Interpreters Performers (Odeon Musica / IMAIE, 2005 and 2006) He shared his skills as a teacher of the Sound Technician course (Music and new sound technologies - ProTools course) at the Music Academy of the City of Caserta (2003-2007) and as Editor for the specialized online magazine DIGITALAUDIOCENTRAL.COM (2007-2009). The roots of his production approach lie in jazz and composition: in 1987, one of his compositions reached the semifinals of the "CASTROCARO" competition, while in 1985 he was selected among the top 5 pianists in the "Jazz Group Selection" (ISMEZ Rome). His professional debut was marked in 1979 in the Recording Studio in Naples (Bagnoli), where his activity as a producer saw him engaged in the creation of theme songs and soundtracks for local TV programs (including Canale 21 and Teleluna Caserta).
