Morìs

Morìs, stage name of Maurizio Di Cesare, is a Sardinian artist and performer born in 1992. His journey began in 2015, when he won third place at The Voice of Italy under the guidance of J-Ax. After two years of intense musical activity, he was forced to stop due to a serious pathology of the vocal cords. What seems like an end point becomes the beginning of a metamorphosis. In 2020, after a long recovery process with vocal coach Maurizio Zappatini, already alongside Mahmood, Elisa and Francesca Michielin, he found his voice and a new artistic direction. Morìs was born from the Milanese isolation: an alter ego that represents the freedom to reinvent oneself and transform one's fragility into creative expression. From this rebirth Swag Music takes shape, the musical and cultural project of which Morìs wants to be the pioneer in Italy. A language that blends electronic Hip Hop and AfroTrap influences, taking up the legacy of Atlanta's Futuristic Swag and reinterpreting it through Afro-digital sounds, electronic synths, tribal grooves and energetic melodies. For Morìs, Swag is not just a musical genre, but an attitude that involves music, fashion, aesthetics and imagination. In September 2025 he won the national Music Star contest, promoted by m2o and Old Wild West and curated by Wad Caporosso. In January 2026 he released Rambla, the first Swag single distributed by The Orchard (Sony), and staged the show Via Lucis: The Swag Creation at the Magazzini Generali in Milan, a performance project that combines music, storytelling and visual identity. In 2026 he released Matcha Vibes and Arcadia, consolidating his recording and live career. He also performs on the stage of Radio Italia Live – The Concert in Piazza Duomo in Milan and realizes a maxi event at the Old Wild West store in Milan Cassala. The live dimension is a central part of the Morìs project: a show built around stage presence, choreography, dancers, energy and visual contamination, where each performance becomes an extension of his artistic universe. Today Morìs is working on the construction of a new pop identity in the Italian underground. His ambition is to transform Swag Music into a recognizable and shared language, capable of going beyond music and becoming culture, belonging and self-affirmation.
