Diego Nicolosi (aka "Papillon"), is a singer-songwriter and poet of Sicilian origins, born and raised in Milan. In 2009 - even before adopting his current stage name - he won the semifinals in Rome of the National Competition "Musica Controcorrente" and in Rieti of the "Poggio Bustone Prize". In 2010, in collaboration with the conductor Valeriano Chiaravalle, he reached the selection of the 50 finalists of the Sanremo Area National Competition held in the city of the same name with the song "Settembre" - on a text by Alessandra Carnevali - candidate for the Sanremo Festival. Since 2013 he has expanded his artistic career by also dedicating himself to the visual arts and the organization of exhibitions of national and international artists, developing a transversal vision between music, poetry and image. In the summer of 2019, in collaboration with the arranger Vito Astone, he published online the song "Vale la 'pena'?". In the same year he was involved in the "ReLove Mi" project, on the occasion of the opening of the new Euronics Experience Store in Milan, performing in the famous Piazza Gae Aulenti with original songs and compositions by maestro Fabrizio Campanelli. In 2020, together with Vito Astone and under the supervision of the conductor V. Chiaravalle, he released the single "Con luce e tempo". In 2021 the collaboration with the conductor Clemente Ferrari was born, from which the song "The capital of my poetry" comes to life, distributed on all digital platforms. In 2023 he officially acquired the stage name "Papillon" and released the single "Il Tattooo" with the GB Music label founded by Giancarlo Bigazzi. In the same year he was invited as a guest at the Mia Martini Award in Novigrad and participated in the initiative "L'Altra Cucina.. for a Lunch of Love" at the Milan Opera prison, together with other artists and personalities from the world of entertainment. In 2024 he released the single "Resolution" with GB Music composed previously to "Il tattooo". In 2025 she performed at the Terme del Tettuccio in Montecatini Terme during the event "E ancora canto", dedicated to Mia Martini, sharing the stage with artists such as Mimmo Cavallo. Later he took part in the Arts and Author Festival "Canti alla Luna" Festival in Mottola, performing alongside Mauro Repetto and other protagonists of the Italian music scene. In the same year the song "Il tattooo" was broadcast on RAI1 within the episode of "Techetechetè - Uguali e diversi bis", directed by Massimiliano Canè. He is currently looking for a record partnership and a tour manager.
