Name: Marzio Gelardini, aka Vivo Born in: Genoa, October 4, 1969 Artistic biography I approached music as a teenager, starting as a singer in a group that proposed covers of artists of the time. Subsequently, driven by the desire to grow and develop a personal style, I began studying singing with a lyric soprano, who respiratory and vocal training, allowing me to refine and enhance my voice. My goal, from the beginning, was to sing pop music. Over the years I have also developed my skills as a singer-songwriter, performing live both with the group and as an interpreter of my original songs. In 1998 I participated in the selections of Sanremo Giovani, where I reached the final phase, obtaining recognition as Best Singer-Songwriter of Liguria with the song Mondo Virtuale, which I wrote and set to music. The song dealt with themes that were innovative then and today more relevant than ever. In those years I had the opportunity to get in touch with prominent figures in Italian music, including Gianni Morandi, with whom I had a personal exchange that encouraged me to continue writing, emphasizing the importance of believing in one's talent and not selling it out. At the turn of the early 2000s, my life was marked by a serious family episode: the birth of my son with brain damage due to a medical error. This event led me to put music aside for several years, focusing on what really matters. This experience also led me to a spiritual rediscovery and a more intimate relationship with God, from which my first Christian songs were born. In recent years, after an inner journey and personal growth, I have found inspiration again and I have resumed writing with renewed passion. I recently composed a series of 24 - 26 new songs, with the aim of spreading my music through modern sharing tools, in the hope of leaving a message of hope, awareness and depth, especially to young people, who more than others seem to suffer from the contradictions of progress. In 2025 I participated in the Tour Music Fest in the "Over 50" category, bringing an unreleased piece of mine entitled Più importante del resto. This experience marked a key moment that led me, in 2026, to definitively realize my musical project and publish it on all digital platforms officially introducing myself with my stage name, Vivo. The album bears the title of the single presented at the festival, Più importante del resto, and collects 11 songs that tell my life and my path.
